BOATMAN is an EU-project aiming to increase tourism and knowledge of the South Baltic maritime heritage. The vision is a network of centers (Destinations) cooperating across borders for sustainable tourism in the southern Baltic Sea, united by the theme of maritime cultural heritage.

Intereg South Baltic
Interreg South Baltic is a cooperation program across borders between coastal regions in the southern Baltic Sea area. The target group consists of local and regional actors, and for the program period 2021-2027, it has been allocated a budget of 89 million euros.
Interreg South Baltic provides financial support (up to 80%) to promote innovation, sustainability, attractive tourism, and knowledge of cross-border cooperation, based on the program’s priorities.
The program area includes Blekinge, Skåne, Kalmar, and Kronoberg from Sweden, as well as 21 additional regions close to the southern Baltic Sea from Germany, Denmark, Poland, and Lithuania.
