Rågö day
For 17 years, Rågödagen has been organized on the island in the middle archipelago of Tjust, outside Loftahammar. This year, Rågödagen will take place on July 19th.
The easiest way to get to Rågö is by taking the boat Bella from Loftahammar. There are sightseeing boats from Loftahammar running all day. On Rågö, you can experience how the archipelago looked in the past, with well-preserved buildings and beautiful old boats. The scent of tar, hemp, and crude oil fills the air over the island, and those who wish can try sailing or rowing an authentic old “Tjustöka” boat. Rågö Skärgårdsby is the center for all the festivities of the day. On the island, there is a restaurant where you can enjoy a good meal or have a coffee. It’s a great opportunity to get acquainted with historical environments, try old boats, meet professional fishermen, and much more.
